Tauraro Artist in Residency and Film Festival is a unique annual event that presents global award winning Black and Indigenous 2sLGBTQIA films in dynamic categories from here in the Pacific Northwest while giving developing media creatives opportunities to further define their artistic scope. Through personalized mentorship, technical support and micro grants, Tauraro helps activate creatives’ community vision while preparing them for more opportunities.
The 5th Annual Tauraro Fest 2025 is taking place May 30th-June 1st at The Vault in collaboration with the Hillsboro Film Festival and at soon to be announced additional locations. Films this year will be primarily shorts in the genres of: Animation, Narrative, Documentary, Music Video, Experimental, Dance, Student and LGBTQ+. Special Laurel Awards will be given in the coordinating categories including a Tauraro life-time achievement award.
